Issue Date: May 2024
The application of this unit in the workplace - the environments, complexities and situations involved - will be written during Phase II of the Review of the PUA00 Public Safety Training Package.
This text will be useful for the purposes of job descriptions, recruitment advice or job analysis; where possible, it will not be too job specific to allow other industries to import it into other Training Packages, where feasible.
This unit covers the competency required to undertake surveillance patrols as part of a team during land operations in the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
Surveillance patrols are conducted to both maintain security and to gain information. Surveillance patrolling is carried out in both forward and rear areas to detect, locate, identify and report on threats and to monitor the threat environment.
You may want to include more information here about the target group and the purpose of the assessments (eg formative, summative, recognition)
